Bio.


Maia Hirasawa, born 05 May, 1980, is a Swedish-Japanese singer-songwriter. She was born and raised in Sweden's west coast, but has gone back and forth living in Gothenburg and Sollentuna. Maia became known though Annika Norlin's band Hello Saferide, where she was a back-up singer. Her solo career began in early 2007 when the song "And I Found This Boy" started being played heavily on Swedish radio. The single was followed up by the album "Though, I'm Just Me", the single "Gothenburg" and the cover of the Swedish eurovision winner 'The worrying kind' by The Ark. After intense touring in 2008, Maia releases her new single 'Going South' in February, followed by her second full length album; "GBGVSSTHLM" out in Scandinavia 25th of March She traveled to United States for her very first US performance last week, playing at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles on the 12th of Feb.
